Sigh today hasn’t been the best day. It started out pretty great. Had some complications. And now I find out that one half of my OTP has cancer. What the actual fuck.

I haven’t felt this emotional over a character since Quinn got hit by a truck on Glee or when the warehouse blew up in Stand. Damn you Jack Kenny, why’d you have to do this to my poor shipper heart?

Faberry stole my heart

Omg it’s Faberry week again.

It’s been three years since I first started shipping them and a whole season where I’ve just stopped watching Glee entirely. (I’m not sure why I didn’t stop watching earlier, on hindsight the show was pretty crappy)

And I don’t think I was the only one who stopped, I know plenty others did too. The number of gif sets on my dashboard have dwindled despite still following the same people in the fandom after all this time. Hardly any new fanfics have popped up and grabbed me by my feels. And… You get the point.

You’d think that now, after over a year, after months of not touching a Faberry fic. That I’d be over them by now. But no. Alas, as the beginnings of Faberry Week peak across my dash, I’m immediately reminded of why I feel what I feel.

Their love for each other transcends boundaries no matter what crap RIB++ may have in store for them. No matter what fic, be it AU or canon. They could be on a cruise, famous, college students, pranksters, figure skaters, super heroes or just themselves and it’d still be amazing and unbearable adorable. And it is while writing this that I’ve kind of realised that it wasn’t just Faberry I was falling in love with. But the fandom too.

A fandom filled with incredible writers, artists, photoshop wizards and talentless people who just sit at their laptops soaking it all in (like me). Faberry School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is definitely right, with a fandom as amazing as the ship itself, it’s a wonder why anyone wouldn’t fall in love with it.

In it’s prime I remember rushing home from school each week just so I could come home to watch it (oh the woe of living outside the US). I don’t know why I did it actually; bothering to clear all plans just for those days even though I constantly told myself that the show was crap. It was kind of a love hate relationship with the show. And it still is.

Kinda.
